Team Patiala wins NASA project

Students from Patiala (a city in Punjab, India) today did the late Kalpana Chawla proud by winning the NASA contest in Kennedy Space Center, Florida US. (see: Team Patiala wins NASA project )

Cheering the 18 member team was none other than Pierre Harrison, kalpana's husband. The team's winning project was their design for a human settlement project on the moon in 2024.

It seems Punjab Govt. seem to have failed on their promise to finance the teams visit to the US, forcing the children to find their own mean (its not that uncommon to happen in India you know, they feel paying for a politician from Punjab to fly is far more important than for stuff like this - its a shame !.

I feel thats what makes the students win all the more important ! Way to go people - you make us proud !
