Today is 147th birthday of the creator of the legendary fictional detective - Sherlock Holmes.Born in Edinburgh in 1859, he practiced medicine for a living. However, his medical practice was not succesful and he began writing. Sherlock holmes first appeared in 1887, who was modelled after Doyles former professor Joseph Bell (considered as the father of forensic science - forensic pathology in particular).
