Looks like 2009 was big news in the world of babies - quite literally.
First there was Nadia Barabanova born at 7.75 Kg (that's 17.1 pounds) in Russia. And as if that was not enough, meet the Indonesian Baby boy - Akbar Risuddin born at 8.7 Kg (or 19.2 pounds)!
Though this does earn little Akbar the heaviest baby born in Indonesia - the world record according to the Guinness Book is held by Anna Bates of Canada since 1879. She was born 10.8 Kg (or 23.12 pounds) but died 11 hours after birth.
