The unexpected lesson from COVID19

Sick of reading about COVID19 everywhere? Welcome to the club! But I've recently spotted a positive side of this whole situation - one that's unrelated to whole spending-quality-time-with-family angle. This one is about how everyone staying at home is ending up giving nature the chance to recover. And this is an important lesson to us.

Of late, I have been spotting many articles from local news websites and even tweets from people marvelling over spotting wild animals roaming in neighbourhoods. These have also been joined by news reports of pollution levels dropping, cleaner river waters and even vibration levels dropping. So much so that it even appears to have slowed down the momentum of climate change - in a mere matter of months!

Link this to the impending climate change crisis and there are some important lessons right there.

The effect of human driven changes on this planet is now undeniable. Mother nature is perfectly capable of fixing herself. All she needs is the opportunity to do so
If there's one thing we can do to give her that chance - be ever more conscious of the effect of all our actions. Whether it is the reducing the waste and pollution we produce or the every day choices like what kind of products we buy - all of it will decide how quickly nature can fix herself. We also need to look at newer ways to strike balance with her - so as not to add to the mess.

So what can each of us do, you ask? Here are a few ideas in no particular order

and the list above is just the beginning.
