Here's an interesting one. A blogger and web-designer William Bright (aged: 27) has put together subway maps that can be put on a iPod. However, the poor soul has run into copyright laws and is having to take those for New York Subways down.
If you can and want to help him, he's looking for donations to help him buy a license so that he can give away those maps for free. Pretty noble - i think.
